I think that might coincide with the next visit from Chez Bro, SIL, and Nieceling. They usually arrive at the end of October in time for Chez Bro’s birthday, and stay a while. Sometimes they do Disney and then spend a few days at Busch Gardens, flying back to Long Island out of Tampa.
Busch Gardens has opened up a new section called Jungala. It looks like a whole lot of fun, and I am actually excited to return because of it! Although I know that it is better to wait until November, when it is cooler, I really want to experience Jungala NOW. Visiting the website just now did not help.
To mollify myself, I’ll hunt up and post some photos from my last trip to Busch Gardens Africa over the next couple of days. Here are a few to start us off -

Some turtles and gators sunning themselves. They twitch in their sleep…. =8^0

There was a new little baby gorilla last time I was there; so cute!

This was our view out the window.

Those crocos look pretty intimidating to me!
Hope your Sunday was a good one Tink!

We’ve never been there, but it is on our *must do* list. Not to put any pressure on you or anything, but we’ll be depending on you to give us the scoop after you visit!
Love the baby gorilla photo!

The kids and I want to go. We will go with you when the weather cools off a bit. And I agree Jungala sounds awesome!

My sister and I went a couple of years ago. I didn’t know what to expect but it was fun. My sister is a huge wild animal fan, so she spent a bizillion dollars for us to do a behind-the-scenes adventure where we got to ride around in a truck, feed a baby giraffe, brush a clydesdale colt, feed a hippo and a rhino (which, in both cases, involved throwing the food into an open mouth from behind an iron gate because those critters are dangerous. We were told that a rhino is actually the most dangerous – as in deaths per critter – in the world) We didn’t do too much else because our adventure took most of the day, and we got lost on the way back to Sanibel to complete the adventure. But we saw the QVC outlet while we were lost, another of my sister’s favorites, so we did the QVC adventure this year!
