Manic Monday
at Disney MGM oops I mean Hollywood Studios
There are actually two things in this photograph that are “BIG”, which is the theme for this week’s Manic Monday.
First, and most obviously, we have the Big-Ass Hat, or to put it more genteelly, the BAH. Some look upon it as an abomination; one used to be able to stand near the front of the park and look down the main drag at the Chinese theater, which is an infinitely more pleasing and artistic structure. You can see a roof ornament of the Chinese theater peeking out from behind the BAH in this photo, just above the crescent moon.
The other “BIG” thing represented in this photo is Disney’s High School Musical franchise. The original production was an unexpected hit for Disney, and they moved quickly to secure the continued services of the original cast for sequel productions. That’s actually a float that paraded down the avenue and stopped in front of the BAH to entertain the crowds

BAH….OMG, I’m laughing uncontrollably over here!
From now on, the Badelves will not refer to it as the Big-Ass Hat.(We had to whisper the Ass part around Renee anyway.) It will just be known as BAH! =)

Hubby did not like the hat when we visited last time. I’d never been, but he assured me it ruined everything.
HSM…I didn’t like the first one. The second one was okay.

Although I would just mention, in a frightfully genteel manner, that arriving at a new blog and finding a HUGE question ‘what are you looking for?’ is a tad intimidating.

My Goodness, that is one BAH! A bit gaudy in my opinion also. Thanks for sharing, I haven’t been to Disney in a good 20 years. I bet it is even more amazing now.
