Here comes Hurricane Ike

La-deeeeeeeeeeees and gentlemen!  Please put your hands together and extend a warm (NOT!) welcome to….. HURRICANE IKE!

Here comes IKE!  This is the 5-day forecast as of 5:00 AM today.  It now looks like it’s going to pass Florida south of the keys, but the whole dang state is still in the “cone of uncertainty”, which means it could head anywhere within the “cone”.

Guess I’m putting the shutters back up (I took them off the back door last weekend, but they are still up everywhere else).

I understand it’s still too early to tell…but best get the shutters up again…

    Got my fingers crossed.

Tink…CNN is just reporting that Ike is down to Cat 2 storm now. I haven’t confirmed from any other source…but you might want to check it out. Fingers crossed that it’s true.

How long does hurricane season last? That would completely freak me out. I’ll take 50 below zero any day over natural disasters. How scary. I hope you are safe!

Good luck with those storms, they can be scary but also bring lots of photo opportunities for interesting skies.

You and all those affected are in my prayers. I hope Ike passes you by … and calms down so it doesn’t do a lot of damage when it DOES hit land.
    Hugs and blessings,

We just got here but looks like we may have to turn around and evacuate Tuesday. Luckily we have friends in Ft. Myers who will take us refugees in! Unfortunately, we don’t have hurricane shutters.

I knew it! Never believe a word CNN says!

Crossing my crossables for you…hope the few shutters that you took down went back up easily.

Now that Ike has moved away from you, I can truly ROTFLMAO at your ‘Cone of Uncertainty’ comment.

    OMG…that was classic, Tink!
