Red Stuff From Disney-MGM Studios, oops I mean Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Yes, it’s that time again – we’re participating in yet another round of Ruby Tuesday, a photo meme that is becoming more and more popular each week. This week I’m featuring Red Stuff From Disney-MGM Studios oops I mean Disney‘s Hollywood Studios. Yes, I’m still being a pain in the ass about the park’s name change. I’ve got other people doing it too – just ask Mare :D

First up is the logo for Radio Disney. I must admit, I have not listened to Radio Disney a whole lot. By time Disney started broadcasting on AM radio, I was well into adulthood, and didn’t have any children to drag me down that path. However, this is one of those Hidden Mickey opportunities in this park. I have blogged about Hidden Mickeys before, in this post, and in this one too. Now you know where to find one for your next trip!
Next: here’s an awning over one of the stores on the main drag. I liked this because the Mickey on it is a very stylized version of him. This whole park is kind of art-deco, and I think this Mickey is somehow more complimentary to the theming than “modern” Mickey.
Finally, it’s the Rockin’ Roller Coaster icon. This thing is just so darned impressive in person. And just look at that blue, blue sky in the background!

Thus endeth another Ruby Tuesday. I actually have quite a few more pics of Red Stuff from this park, but I think they can wait for another day.

Hey there Tink! :) First of all I want to say I love the giant guitar pic. It is very cool! Second and mostly I want to thank you for checking up on me. I never responded to it but it did feel great! So thank you!
Things are looking up and I feel a lot better. Made some radical decisions, however I felt they were the right ones to make. It will interesting to see where they lead me.
Will soon be back blogging. Until then take care and keep up your excellent work! :)

I’m partial to the RED Mickey awning. The style of awning you might see in ‘Lady and the Tramp’ or ’101 Dalmatians”. Very art-deco style like the 1930s. Chic, elegant and stylish is all over mouse land!

I have a red guitar, but mine doesn’t have the white on it. Maybe I should photograph that for a Ruby Tuesday post. I hadn’t thought of that :O)

Great shots of red from Disney. I didn’t know they changed the name. My wife will be surprised since her Dad worked for Disney Studios for 33 years. He helped build Disneyland in Anaheim. Thanks for the posting have a great Ruby Tuesday.
