Red Stuff From EPCOT

Oh, hi there! Wave Hi Glad you could drop by. I found some Red Stuff From EPCOT to show you in honor of Ruby Tuesday. I also have a little surprise for Jientje. I’m not quite sure if she is still doing her “Opening Doors” series, but she’s getting a door anyway! But more about that later. First things first -

Disney’s DogGone Maze is a little garden that appeared one year near the Rose Walk during the Flower and Garden Festival. There were topiaries and trees and shrubbery and flowers for the children to get lost among.

I belive Pluto was there, which is why it was “DogGone”. Certainly, that title was not thought up with Stitch in mind! Although Stitch appears on the sign, we all know that he was initially mistaken for a doggie, but it turned out he was actually an alien. Besides, he could not possibly be a dog, because “doggies cannot talk” (shout out to anyone who owns “Aloha Stitch”).

OK, let’s get out of the maze and move on through the World Showcase. Oh, I see something yummy!

Here we are in Japan, where they sell Pocky. My Oldest Niece, aka Number One, is addicted to this stuff. I now cannot look at a RED box of Pocky without thinking of her. During a recent trip, I bought her a box and then mailed it to her. I hear tell it didn’t arrive in great shape but I forget what was wrong with it. Crushed? Melted? I don’t remember! dunno

You know something, we need to double-back a few countries. There’s something I want to show to Jientje.

Here’s the door to Morocco, and it’s RED for Ruby Tuesday! If you go through this door, you end up inside the courtyard of a multi-generational Moroccan dwelling. While you’re in there, you can enjoy the cool shade and the sounds of the extended family members calling to one another from their suites in the house.

I’m a firm believer in multi-generational living. I think the demise of the multi-generational household was the beginning of working mother headaches and challenges. Mothers have ALWAYS worked; the difference is, there used to be Aunt Rosie and Grandma at home to help with the kids. Now, no more. OK, I will spare you the rest of that rant. I’m sure you are grateful, and will be sending me tributes shortly Photobucket

Thanks for joining me for our Ruby Tuesday walk through EPCOT to find red stuff. We sure found some, didn’t we? I think next week, we’ll take a walk through a different Disney park. I’m pretty sure that red stuff will abound, no matter which one we pick.

You mean that Stitch is NOT a dog?

Pluto is a great dog, although Goofy is an even better dog.

Are you sure you didn’t post all of this for Renee? All of these things(including the color red!) are her favorites-LOL!

And I think I will send you tributes *for* mentioning multi-generational living. We are living it right now, and for us, it is a wonderful thing. =)

That list of letters, at the end of my comment, that was the little code thing so that you could tell that I was not a robot. How odd that it would show up as part of the post. Hhmm…
