Worm shell and sunset, originally uploaded by Tink*~*~*. The sun is setting and I found a worm shell. A fan of calico scallops would have had a field day on this beach this evening – they were everywhere. And so were the noseeums!
Made it to the Westwind, originally uploaded by Tink*~*~*. The pool bar at the Westwind Inn on Sanibel Island is on a patio built up overlooking the pool and affords nice views of the Gulf. That’s the Gulf behind me. There’s like NO humidity today!
Ltin’ In the Sun, originally uploaded by Tink*~*~*. On the way out, we stopped to gape at a small gator sunning himself near one of Casa Ybel’s fountains. He was about 4 feet-ish long, and I didn’t want to press my luck by getting too close.

Casa Ybel serves weak drinks, originally uploaded by Tink*~*~*. Now we’ve moved on – we’re having pina coladas during “happy hour” at the Casa Ybel pool bar, “Coconuts”. There was live music for a while, but we were really too late to catch the whole performance. It’s a shame that the food and drinks are so very expensive here, because the environment is pleasant on a Sunday afternoon.
