RED STUFF from the Tween Waters Inn, Captiva Island, Florida
(a Ruby Tuesday post)

I guess we are officially in the season where RED STUFF abounds.  Yes, it’s Christmas time, and the decorations are going up rapidly all over the place.  Here are some shots taken on Thanksgiving Day last week at the Tween Waters Inn on Captiva Island in Southwest Florida.

SNOWMEN er, PEOPLE
There were a couple of festive snowmen on the path from the parking lot to the restaurant.  Amazingly, they seem impervious to the Florida sunshine, and they do not melt! ;)

THE REASON FOR THE SEASON
There isn’t really any red in this, but I just had to include it.

I’m saving a series of Santas found at Tweenies for Skywatch Friday… stay tuned!

I somehow knew you would like that one. As I was trying to take the shot, I kept thinking, “WWED?” (What Would Elaine Do?) :p

Since you’re from the Ile du Long, can you imagine if there was enough snow on the Gulf shores to actually roll up a couple of snow persons?

All the reds are appropriate, but thanks for providing the visual for The Reason for the Season!

Anyone can decorate, and in the Sunshine State also. Winter decorations aren’t just for snowbirds!

All are festive and fun. I especially like the bird talking to the snowman, and the two bears who greet you in front of the restaurant.

I guess it’s easier to build really great snow…er…people when the snow doesn’t melt. But unless you live in … Minneapolis or Green Bay or someplace like that, you gotta improvise!

Otherwise, you better take that photo quick!

    Nice sequence of Red stuff.
My favorite is the Christmas tree, so well-arranged , “calibrated”, with no branch taller than an other.

When I think that some areas (like mine), haven’t any snow and are compeled to create it!

I stay tuned for Santa sky! I’m cutious to watch it. I really like your work.

The little boy snowman looks very concerned. I think he’s telling Mama snowwoman he is afraid of melting. I have snow, but can’t make a snowman…it’s too dry at -30. Just won’t stick together!
