Wow, that is pretty powerful. My first thought when I looked at the ribbon (although there is no color) on the “taken” sign, that it might have to do with breast cancer. The person being held is bald possibly meaning the result of chemo. At any rate, it is an amazing sculpture. Too bad those only last a few days.

I see a sad look of the woman and her companion. Sadly, the life of one is take, a mournful scene. It seems that even the tall palm sitting under a most beautiful sky cannot comfort. This is an odd pairing of life’s loss contrasted to nature’s beauty. A dichotomy to be sure…
