Here are the naticas again, along with a quarter for scale and a tiny keyhole limpit that I also found on the Lighthouse Beach yesterday.
They are beautiful! Thanks for the coin for perspective, too — I’d have thought the shells were a lot bigger. Isn’t nature amazing to create such detail in such a tiny package! We’ve been taking care of our neighbor’s little snail over the holiday beak, and I’m still astounded by the fact that a living creature is in that little shell. Happy New Year, Tink!
