Fun facts about Monorail Red

The original Walt Disney World Monorail Red went into service in 1971 and was decommissioned after more than 20 years of service. The nose end of it was auctioned off as part of the “100 Years of Magic” celebration in honor of Walt Disney’s 100th birthday. This successor was captured passing the Imagination Institute in EPCOT in early March 2010.

    If only Amtrak or Metro North (New Haven line) had trains as stylish as these today. Not that the usual NYC bound commuter would notice…a fine ruby!
